New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) will organise ‘Anveshan: Innovation and Exploration Across Disciplines’, a special outreach initiative for final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in pursuing higher studies at the institute. The programme will offer students a chance to visit the campus and interact with faculty members and current students. Scheduled for March 21 at the institute’s Hauz Khas campus, Anveshan aims to help participants make informed career decisions at a crucial stage in their education. “This initiative is meant to familiarise prospective students with IIT Delhi’s academic ecosystem, research opportunities and interdisciplinary culture,” an official said. “Direct interaction with faculty and students will help them choose their higher education pathways with greater clarity,” the official added. Anveshan is being held under the #ExperienceIITD initiative of the Office of Academic Outreach and New Initiatives. As part of the same outreach effort, IIT Delhi recently conducted an open house in Kota, giving Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants an opportunity to engage with the institute’s students and faculty during a key phase of their preparation. According to officials, the open house format enables aspirants to connect with those who have already cleared the JEE and offers practical insights into preparation strategies and campus life. Looking ahead, IIT Delhi will conduct its next open houses in Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru on June 6–7, exclusively for JEE Advanced-qualified students. An online session titled IITD calling is scheduled for June 5. Meanwhile, the admission portal for foreign nationals applying to PhD and postgraduate programmes for the 2026–27 academic year (Semester I) is currently open. The last date to apply is March 30. The admission portal for Indian nationals applying to PhD, MTech, MS (Research), MDes, MPP, MA, and MSc programmes will open in the third week of March.
