Times News NetworkDumka: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband in Amarpur village under Rajabhitha police station limits in Godda district on Thursday night, police said on Friday.The deceased was identified as Hoponmay Choude, while her husband, Manu Hansda (40), has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.According to police, Hansda, who was an alcohol addict, often assaulted his wife. During the altercation on Thursday, he strangled her with a dhoti, leading to her death on the spot.“The accused has denied the crime, claiming that his wife may have died by suicide. He has been taken into custody for further probe,” Rajabhitha police station officer-in-charge Yogesh Yadav said.
