Srinagar, Sep 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has said that no Detailed Project Report (DPR) has so far been prepared or submitted for the development of requisite infrastructure at the Hudh Mata Shrine in Kishtwar district.
The information was provided by the Tourism Department in response to an unstarred question raised by Kishtwar MLA Shagun Parihar in the Legislative Assembly.
The Government acknowledged that Hudh Mata Shrine is a prominent religious and pilgrimage destination in Kishtwar, attracting a significant number of devotees and having potential for pilgrimage tourism.
However, responding to a query on whether a DPR for infrastructure development at the shrine had been prepared and submitted to the concerned authorities, the Government said that no such DPR had been prepared so far.
The Tourism Department said that a project titled “Development and Beautification Work at Hud Mata Dachhan” had been taken up during 2022-23 at an estimated cost of Rs 15 lakh. The work was subsequently allotted for Rs 13.12 lakh and has been physically completed during the current financial year.
On the proposed comprehensive infrastructure development, the Government said the DPR would be processed shortly after an assessment of its feasibility.
