Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Thursday sought Anthropic’s expertise in using AI to detect fraud in government systems and improve public service delivery.During a meeting with an Anthropic delegation led by head of international policy Michael Sellitto, Shivakumar discussed AI applications to enhance efficiency, security and transparency in governance. He also sought suggestions on using AI to protect the confidentiality of government examination question papers amid concerns over leaks.The meeting, facilitated by IT/BT minister Priyank Kharge, focused on expanding AI adoption across governance, healthcare, education, research and startups. Karnataka proposed secure access to government datasets to build AI-powered solutions while protecting sensitive information.The discussions also covered AI skilling under the Nipuna initiative, Claude certification programmes, research collaboration with IISc, and identifying department-wise AI use cases.The Anthropic delegation included India managing director Irina Ghose, Amlan Mohanty, head of India policy, and Samarth Masson, who leads the go-to-market initiatives.
