Chennai: Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre launched robotic-assisted technology for complex surgical procedures. The advanced system was inaugurated by V R Venkatachalam, chancellor of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER).The hospital installed the Intuitive da Vinci advanced robotic surgical system, which allows surgeons to perform precise procedures using robotic arms controlled from a console. The system includes a surgeon console, a patient-side cart with 3 to 4 robotic arms, and a 3D high-definition vision system.
