Nagpur: Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Sunday said honesty, credibility, approach and quality matter more than technology and capital for a business to be successful. “Doing business with ethics and values, and converting knowledge into wealth are the philosophies that will shape the future,” he said.He was speaking as chief guest at The Economic Times ‘Changemakers of Nagpur 2026′ presented by The Times of India and Maharashtra Times, and National Commodity Supply Corporation Of India in association with National Thermal Power Corporation and Vidarbha Management Association.Calling entrepreneurs creators of wealth and employment, Gadkari said the aim is to maximise employment in Nagpur and Vidarbha, which would push up per capita income and GDP. “Employment would eventually bring down poverty,” he said.Citing Nagpur’s example, Gadkari said the city today generates 22 tonnes of CNG daily. This makes it a national example in solid and liquid waste management driven by proper segregation and treatment of sewage for profit. He stressed that none of this is possible without strong research and development. Industry is the ultimate “solution providers”, he said.Gadkari said exports are essential to nation-building.The event saw felicitation of 40 changemakers, achievers and visionaries. Content creator and business coach Viral Sakhiya conducted a session highlighting how tech has transformed content creation for businesses today. From ideation to editing, he noted, businesses can rely on readily available AI tools to produce quality content. Sakhiya stressed that visibility through consistent content has become critical for businesses to build trust and reach audiences, making content creation as important a business function as the product or service itself.
