Ajmer: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) on Jaipur Road received another hoax bomb threat via email Thursday morning, prompting a massive security operation .The email, sent to the RTO’s official email address, claimed that seven TDX and cyanide gas bombs were planted on the premises.Although the email was received around 5 am, officials noticed it only at about 2 pm and alerted the police. Police teams, the dog squad and the CID evacuated the premises and carried out a thorough search operation that continued till 5 pm.Civil Lines SHO Shambhu Singh said the search was conducted as per protocol. The RTO is a busy office, and members of the public had to wait for hours as operations were disrupted.Sources said several govt offices in Ajmer have received similar bomb threats over the past eight months. Five FIRs were registered in connection with such incidents, but no arrests have been made so far.Notably, the email claimed that the bombs would explode at 1.10 pm, but it came to light only after the stated time passed. RTO officials said the email was not checked in the morning due to routine work.
