Bengaluru: Panic gripped 183 passengers, crew members, and airport authorities at Kempegowda International Airport Saturday evening after a bomb threat was reported on a Bengaluru–Delhi flight. The threat was later declared a hoax.IndiGo flight 6E 870 had completed boarding and was about to depart when the incident occurred. Around 7.50pm, a passenger seated in 26D found the word “bomb” written on a tissue in the lavatory and alerted the cabin crew.The flight was halted immediately, and emergency protocols were triggered. The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was activated, and all passengers were evacuated. Security teams conducted a thorough search following standard procedures.After detailed checks, officials confirmed there was no threat. The flight was delayed by nearly two hours before departing. Police suspect mischief by a passenger and have launched an investigation.
