Patna: An Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) was inaugurated at Dariyapur Bhatthi in ward no. 38 on Monday by health minister Nishant Kumar. Urban development and housing minister Nitish Mishra attended the event as chief guest.After inaugurating the facility, Nishant inspected the premises and reviewed the arrangements. He said the centre has been staffed with two doctors, five auxiliary nurse midwives, a lab technician, a pharmacist and a data entry operator. The facility currently has two beds, which will be increased based on local requirements.Nishant said the state’s health infrastructure would receive a further push with the establishment of 11 Level-3 trauma centres. Plans are also progressing for five Level-2 trauma centres in Bihar’s eastern, western, northern, southern and central zones.He said a 400-bed facility would soon be operational at LNJP Hospital, where an Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Centre is being developed.
