Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Friday agreed to hear Birbhum stone trader Tulu Mondal’s plea seeking quashing of criminal cases related to the recovery of bundles of cash and gold.Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi mentioned the matter before Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya, requesting a Thursday hearing next week as he would appear physically. Justice Bhattacharyya agreed after Rohatgi’s insistence. Two cases concerning Mondal are pending, with Justice Kausik Chanda recently releasing one from his list. The matters will now be heard together.
