NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday vowed to resume the agitation, saying the party had not signed any bond promising not to protest.“Haven’t signed any bond that says we won’t protest. We will hit the streets again,” Dipke said in a post on X, hours after being released by a Delhi court.Dipke also said he was heading to his hometown in Maharashtra to attend the last rites of his grandmother, who passed away on Saturday.He said CJP co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka would address a press conference in Delhi.In another post on X, Dipke wrote, “Heading back to my village to be with my family during this moment of grief.”“The CJP will neither back down nor be intimidated. October 10 will go down as the beginning of the end of this dictatorship,” he added.Over 100 Protesters Detained As CJP Protest Enters Second DayOver 100 protesters were detained on Sunday as the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)’s agitation entered its second day amid heavy security deployment across Delhi.Protesters raised slogans and marched towards Jantar Mantar, with several seen being dragged into police buses.Members of student organisations, including the Students’ Federation of India (SFI), All India Students’ Association (AISA) and Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS), along with CJP supporters, were detained while attempting to march to Jantar Mantar from different parts of the capital.CPI(M) Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas was also among those detained, police told news agency PTI.(With agency inputs)
