Kurukshetra: Haryana food, civil supplies and consumer affairs minister Rajesh Nagar on Wednesday sought an FIR against officials over alleged recruitment irregularities at Kharindwa Deeg Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) Ltd and called for strict action against a contractor for lapses in road construction.The minister chaired the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee at the Kurukshetra Mini Secretariat on Wednesday. Referring to a report submitted by the assistant registrar of Cooperative Societies, he termed the irregularities “serious” and instructed the Kurukshetra SP to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure appropriate action against the accused officials.Nagar reviewed 13 complaints listed on the agenda, resolving seven on the spot and ordering immediate inquiries into the remaining six. Acting on a complaint by Amit Kumar of Yara village, the minister heard both sides and, based on the official report confirming irregular recruitment, asked for legal action and police probe.In another case related to a property possession dispute raised by residents of Vishnu Colony, the minister constituted a committee comprising the SDM of Ladwa, DMC, DSP and two non-official members. The panel has been asked to submit its report within seven days.Addressing a complaint from residents of Jhinverheri village, the minister Nagar directed officials of Punjab National Bank not to harass women for loan recovery and to instead proceed against the person accused of collecting money without depositing it in the bank. He instructed both the police and bank authorities to assist the affected women.On a complaint by a Sector-2 resident, the minister directed officials of HSVP and the forest department to expedite the removal of trees obstructing a shop plot. He added that if legal clearance for cutting trees is not granted, a proposal should be sent to headquarters for allotment of an alternative plot.Contractor to be blacklistedTaking serious note of delays and use of substandard material in the Thol-Jhansa road project, Nagar directed that the concerned agency be blacklisted with immediate effect. He also ordered that the agency’s earnest money of approximately Rs 2 crore be utilised for reconstructing the road and instructed authorities to expedite the work.Additionally, he directed that a 200-metre stretch of road towards Tangore village be elevated before the monsoon to resolve waterlogging issues. An inquiry has also been ordered into the failure to construct the road over the past seven-eight years.Report sought in suspension caseHearing a complaint from Ladwa resident Sonu Narang, the minister said two inspectors of the food and supplies department were already suspended but the complainant did not receive satisfactory redress. He directed the district food and supplies controller to submit a detailed report within seven days.Directions on drainage and compensationOn a complaint from Budha village, Nagar instructed the BDPO to complete work related to a village pond within three months and construct a drain to prevent water damage to property.
