Hudgell Solicitors launched a claim for damages on behalf of the family, and after a 10-month wait for the CCTV footage, Jet2Holidays representatives offered the compensation package.
The boys’ father said: “We were in the hotel room when the eldest burst into the room. He was limping and there was blood everywhere after he cut all his feet leaving the spa.”
A doctor on site treated the boys, who had sustained various cuts including to their feet, legs and arms.
“It was scary, and we didn’t go on a package holiday for four years because of what happened, and the kids are still concerned about going through glass doors.”
Anne Thomson from Hudgell Solicitors said it “must have been a terrifying experience”.
“The CCTV footage makes for especially uncomfortable viewing and underscores just how fortunate the brothers were to have avoided serious injury,” she added.
Jet2Holiday’s said it “reached a settlement in relation to an incident which occurred in 2022”.
