Prayagraj: Fatehpur police on Monday arrested a couple identified as Kamta Prasad (30) and his wife Kiran (26) , residents of Kurara (Hamirpur) on the charges of killing a Fatehpur based youth named as Vijay Nishad (25). After the arrest, the couple confessed that slain youth Vijay Nishad had an affair with Kiran for the past eight months and when Kamta came to knew about the affair, he asked Vijay to mend his ways. The couple then hatched a conspiracy to kill him.The couple after killing the youth, used saw and grinding machine to cut his legs and packed the body in a sack and later set the body on fire in a forest area near Kanpur district area.The husband parked slain youth’s bike at an abandoned area near Ghatampur and escaped. Police said that Tikra resident Indrapal Nishad lodged a complaint with Bakewar police station of Fatehpur district on May 11 claiming that his son Vijay Nishad was missing since May 8.The father told police that his son before leaving the house said that he was going Hamirpur to meet someone but didn’t return. The family also told police that youth was in a relationship with a Harmipur based woman.The couple confessed that Kiran called up Vijay on May 8 to meet her in Hamirpur. When Vijay entered the couple’s house, the woman locked the main gate of the house. The husband was already present in the house.Kamta then repeatedly attacked Vijay with a wooden frame on his head and killed him on spot. The couple then hid the body inside one room and tried to conceal evidences. They later brought the body on a bike near Reuna forest area in Kanpur district and set it on fire.The husband also threw away victim’s pan card, atm card, shoes and other documents in forest and escaped.
