Hyderabad: Telangana governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has urged Central and State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to support the modernisation and expansion of the Salar Jung Museum as it approaches its Platinum Jubilee.During a meeting at Lok Bhavan, the governor discussed plans for celebrations scheduled from June 14 to 21, honouring Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, Salar Jung III. The events will include exhibitions, cultural programmes, and educational initiatives.He emphasised a five-year development plan to elevate the museum to international standards and called on PSUs to contribute through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.Special chief secretary Dana Kishore highlighted the development of the Musi riverfront and the creation of a heritage corridor, encouraging support for the museum’s initiatives. PSUs expressed willingness to collaborate on the proposed ₹25–₹35 crore upgrades for galleries and conservation efforts.
