Shimla: Governor Kavinder Gupta on Monday met President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, marking his first official interaction with the top leadership after assuming office.During the meetings, the governor held detailed discussions on key issues concerning the state’s development and public welfare. Gupta briefed them on the overall situation in Himachal Pradesh and highlighted major initiatives being undertaken by the state govt. These included the Drug-Free Himachal Campaign and the TB-Free Himachal Campaign, both aimed at strengthening public health and promoting social well-being.The governor also emphasised Himachal’s growing focus on natural farming, noting that an increasing number of farmers and orchardists are adopting chemical-free agricultural practices. He stressed the need to further expand such eco-friendly initiatives to ensure sustainable development and improve farmers’ livelihoods.Gupta underlined that continued support and guidance from the central govt would be crucial in accelerating these efforts and achieving holistic growth across the state.
