NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police constable wearing a Brics summit 2026 identity card has come under scrutiny after a video showing him making an Instagram reel while handling a firearm went viral on social media.The video has sparked criticism online, with viewers questioning the appropriateness of posting such footage during a high-security international event.The constable is posted in Delhi Police’s northwest district, according to officials. “A departmental inquiry has been initiated against him. He is also likely to be suspended from duties”, officials said on Sunday.The development comes as tight security arrangements are in place in the national capital for the second day of the 18th Brics summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam.Delhi Police on Sunday issued a public advisory warning that traffic movement across the city would be affected due to VVIP movement.The police urged people to use public transport and follow designated alternative routes.Commuters travelling to airports, railway stations and ISBTs were advised to allow extra time for their journeys. Non-destined commercial vehicles have also been barred from entering the city.People travelling to the airport have been advised to use the Metro, which is operating normally without disruptions.
