Times News NetworkKanpur: A young woman sustained serious injuries after a bullet accidentally fired while a licensed revolver was being cleaned in the Barasirohi area under Kalyanpur police station jurisdiction on Tuesday morning.The injured woman, Anupama Tiwari (22), was rushed to the Hallet Hospital by her family members and is undergoing treatment. Doctors declared her condition out of danger.ACP (Kalyanpur) Ashutosh Kumar said that Vinay Tiwari, a resident of Barasirohi, was cleaning his licensed revolver on Tuesday morning when the trigger accidentally pressed and the gun fired. The bullet grazed Anupama’s hand as she sat in front of him before lodging in her abdomen.Her elder sister Payal and other family members took her to the Hallet Hospital, where doctors began treatment. The hospital EMO Dr. Ashish Srivastava said that the young woman’s condition is currently out of danger and her treatment is ongoing.Inspector Kalyanpur police station Santosh Kumar Singh said that the matter is under investigation.
