Ahmedabad: The Isanpur police returned Rs 10.8 lakh to 132 citizens who fell victim to cyberfraud cases. The funds were returned following a special drive conducted from March 1 to 13.The initiative launched with a focus on helping victims recover small amounts lost in cyberfraud cases, which often ranged from Rs 100 to Rs 10,000 and were usually not pursued through court due to the low value involved.Inspector B S Jadeja said that during the campaign, the local police and the cybercrime team reviewed complaints filed by victims, verified case details, and collected information from banks where the defrauded money was held. The police then prepared the required court applications and presented them before the court to secure orders for a refund. As a result, the frozen amount of Rs 10.8 lakh was successfully returned to all 132 applicants.
