Amravati: A young man from Rajkot, Gujarat, was stabbed to death near a lay-by at Bharwadi bridge on the national highway close to Teosa. The incident came to light on Friday causing a stir in the area.The deceased Vimal Satish Agrawat (30), a resident of Gandhigram, Rajkot, and his colleague arrived at the truck lay-by near Bharwadi bridge on a two-wheeler on Thursday night. They stopped there, and the next morning, Vimal’s bloodied body was found.Teosa station officer Gopal Upadhyay and local crime branch inspector Kiran Wankhade investigated the scene. Vimal was stabbed to death, and his colleague was missing. The police seized a knife, bag containing a mobile phone, two-wheeler number plate, clothes, and an Aadhaar card, and two-wheeler from the scene. Vimal’s identity was confirmed through his mobile phone and documents. “The victim’s identity is confirmed, and his relatives have been informed. The watchman stated that Vimal and his colleague stopped there for the night. The colleague is missing, and we are searching for him,” said Upadhyay. The police have registered a case against an unknown accused and are investigating. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and the missing colleague is being tracked.
