Chennai: A chief engineer and director in-charge of Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation (TNGECL) has been placed under suspension for clearing solar and wind projects without the knowledge of the senior officials.The suspension of P Chandrasekaran comes a day after electricity minister C T R Nirmalkumar held a maiden review meeting with all the officials in the presence of TNEB chairman J Radhakrishnan on Tuesday. The suspension order undersigned by the chairman did not elaborate on the alleged malpractice but mentioned that the suspension was necessary since an inquiry has been contemplated against the grave charges levelled against him.
