Noida: Greater Noida district administration office received a bomb threat email on Monday, prompting a large-scale security response.The threat prompted an immediate and coordinated response from the police and emergency services. Teams from Surajpur police station rushed to the DM office and secured the premises. As a precautionary measure, a bomb disposal squad, dog squad, anti-sabotage checking team and fire brigade were deployed to ensure security.The search operation continued for several hours, during which officers examined office rooms, corridors, public areas and the entire campus for any suspicious objects or explosive devices. Deputy commissioner of police (central Noida) Shailendra Singh said no explosives or suspicious materials were found during the intensive search, allowing authorities to declare the premises safe.A cyber investigation has been launched to trace the origin of the threatening email. Officers said legal action would be initiated against the person responsible once identified. Investigators are examining all possible angles, including the email’s routing details and any digital footprints left by the sender.Officials confirmed that normal functioning at the DM office resumed after the search operation. Security has been heightened around the district administration complex as a precaution.
