Prof SR Niranjana, vice-chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council delivers the Graduation Day address at the thirteenth Graduation Day of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru on Saturday

Mangaluru: The Thirteenth Graduation Day of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, was held on Saturday in the Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Auditorium of the college. The graduating batch of 2022–2025, celebrated the successful completion of the programmes of 647 graduates from the undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA and MCA streams of the institution. The graduation day was formally inaugurated by Sr Maria Naveena, provincial superior of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka province. Controller of examinations Shubha Rekha presented 470 UG, 68 PG, and 109 MBA and MCA candidates for the conferment of degrees, following which principal Sr M Venissa AC administered the graduation oath.Chief guest Prof SR Niranjana, vice-chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) and former vice- chancellor, Gulbarga University, highlighted the importance of education in shaping responsible individuals and highlighted the need for multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking, innovation, and skill development in higher education. He urged graduates to contribute to national progress with knowledge, ethics, and adaptability. He urged students to develop key life skills and lifelong learning to stay adaptable. In her presidential address, Sr Maria Naveena AC described graduation as the beginning of a new phase, and encouraged students to pursue their goals with strong values and social commitment. A total of 22 rank holders were felicitated with certificates and cash prizes
