Kanpur: A 38-year-old govt school teacher was allegedly found dead inside his car parked in the parking area of his rented accommodation in Bharthana, Etawah, on Friday.The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Yadav, a resident of Auraiya.Residents said Yadav regularly parked his car at the spot and initially did not suspect anything unusual. However, their suspicions grew when the vehicle remained parked overnight with Yadav still inside.After receiving the information, police reached the spot and broke a window of the vehicle to retrieve the body.The body was found lying on the fully reclined driver’s seat and was believed to be around 24 hours old, police said.Bharthana station house officer Vikram Singh said the preliminary investigation suggested that Yadav might have died due to suffocation as the car was locked.“The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the postmortem examination,” he said.Yadav had been teaching at a primary school in Achhalda for the past four years. Earlier, he was posted in Lakhimpur.His wife, Sandhya, lives in a rented accommodation in Etawah city for their daughter’s studies. Sandhya told police that she had been repeatedly calling him for the past two days but received no response. Concerned by his silence, she informed relatives and acquaintances.
