New Delhi: Global Schools Group (GSG) has awarded its Global Citizen Scholarship to 12 students from across India, providing them with fully funded opportunities to pursue their senior secondary education in Singapore.
The scholarships were presented during the 19th edition of the Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS) programme at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday. Of the 12 recipients, eight will study at the GIIS SMART Campus, Singapore, while four will attend the OWIS Digital Campus, Singapore.
According to the group, the students were selected through a multi-stage evaluation process based on academic performance, leadership potential and overall development.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, boarding and living expenses for Grades 11 and 12. GSG said the programme represents an investment of around ₹1 crore per student over two years.
The event was attended by Biswajit Saha, who participated as the chief guest, along with senior officials from Global Schools Group.
Speaking at the event, Pramod Tripathi, Director (Academics), Global Schools Group, said the scholarship aims to support students with strong academic ability and leadership potential by providing access to international education.
Addressing the gathering, Saha said scholarship initiatives play an important role in recognising young talent and encouraging academic excellence alongside leadership and creativity.
Launched in 2008, the Global Citizen Scholarship is GSG’s flagship scholarship programme. The initiative supports students pursuing Grades 11 and 12 at selected Global Schools Group campuses by covering education and residential expenses, with the objective of preparing them for higher education and global careers. According to the organisation, the programme has supported hundreds of students from different parts of India over the years.
