Srinagar, July 31: A teenage girl was injured after being struck by a motorcycle at Tengpora Bypass in Srinagar on Friday evening, while the rider also sustained injuries in the accident.
According to reports, a Pulsar motorcycle (Registration No. JK05E-0293), ridden by Nazim Ashraf, hit the girl, whose identity has been withheld. The impact left both the pedestrian and the biker injured.
Police personnel from Police Post Tengpora, assisted by local residents and CRPF personnel, immediately rushed to the scene and shifted both the injured girl and the rider to JVC Hospital for treatment. Hospital sources said both are undergoing treatment.
Police Post Tengpora has taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
