Jalandhar: Reacting to Giani Raghbir Singh’s serious allegations, former Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Paramjit Singh Sarna said considering the serious accusations, the SGPC and Akal Takht jathedar should take prompt action.“If these allegations are true, appropriate action should be taken against the guilty. If the allegations are baseless, then the SGPC should not hesitate to take action against Giani Raghbir Singh. The involvement of Giani Sultan Singh’s name in this matter should also be considered,” Sarna said in a statement issued on Wednesday evening.
He urged the Akal Takht jathedar to immediately convene a meeting of the five high priests to assess the seriousness of the case and take swift action.Noting that Giani Raghbir Singh read out from a paper, he said it raised questions about its origin. “It appears that Giani Raghbir Singh is reading from a script to make accusations against the SGPC, SAD, or certain individuals, suggesting a larger conspiracy that no Sikh can tolerate,” he alleged, adding, “He attempted to tarnish the position of the head granthi of Darbar Sahib, which is unacceptable.”
