Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday directed officials to give national and international publicity and make arrangements to organise a curtain-raiser event in New Delhi during the first or second week of Oct for the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2.0 to be held on Dec 7, 8 at Bharat Future City.He directed officials to prepare a plan to invite foreign diplomats, Union ministers, officials working in different parts of the country and other prominent personalities to the event.The deputy CM held a review meeting to discuss arrangements for the Invest Telangana Global Summit–2026, and suggested setting up a war room at Praja Bhavan to review all aspects related to the summit on a regular basis and enable quick decision-making wherever necessary.He directed officials to constitute special committees for organising the summit and appoint senior officers as heads of each committee. The committees include an advisory committee, executive committee, invitation committee, hospitality committee, programme designing committee, media, contact and communication committee and MoU committee, and the assigning of responsibilities to senior IAS officers.Bhatti also asked the officials to design a dedicated logo for Invest Telangana Global Summit–2026. The advisory and executive committees should be constituted at the earliest and meetings should be held with them to discuss the summit’s action plan. He said the programme should be designed in a manner that effectively showcases Telangana’s investment opportunities to participating delegates, industrialists and investors.The deputy CM directed officials to undertake extensive publicity for the Invest Telangana Global Summit–2026 through print, electronic and social media platforms. He suggested installing hoardings at major junctions across Hyderabad to create awareness about the summit among the public. The campaign should prominently highlight investment opportunities in Telangana, incentives being offered by the state govt and development opportunities across various sectors.Bhatti Vikramarka directed Planning secretary Gaurav Uppal to coordinate with officials of all departments involved in the summit arrangements and submit a daily progress report to him. The report should include the responsibilities assigned to each committee, the status of implementation, pending issues and the next steps to be taken.
