Garhwa: Taking cognisance of a viral video and a probe report by Ranka BDO Shubham Bala Topno, Garhwa deputy commissioner and district election officer Pashupati Nath Mishra on Saturday removed BLO Jamila Khatoon from duty for allegedly asking for money during distribution and filling of SIR enumeration forms. To ensure SIR work continues smoothly, assistant teacher Kanhai Prasad has been appointed as the new BLO with immediate effect, Mishra said. Khatoon, an anganwadi sevika, however, denied the allegations. “It is nothing but an attempt to to defame me by making a fake video using artificial intelligence,” she said.
