Prayagraj: Under ‘Operation Dahan’, 766.67 kg of ganja, valued at Rs 3.83 crore was destroyed by a joint team of Narcotics Task Force, Soraon and Mauaima police in city on Tuesday night.The seized narcotic substance was further sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for testing in accordance with legal procedures. The test results conclusively confirmed that the seized material was an illicit NDPS substance (ganja). Following a thorough investigation, the police from Soraon and Mauaima stations submitted the charge sheet to the court concerned regarding the cases. To ensure the complete disposal of the narcotics, the police also completed the necessary legal proceedings before the court under section 52A of the NDPS Act.Following the court’s orders , a team of Narcotics Task Force played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the large-scale destruction operation.
