A 78-year-old Scottish grandmother has been named the world’s oldest female Fortnite streamer by Guinness World Records.
Cath Bowie, who is originally from Moray but now lives in Inverurie, began playing the online shooter in 2017 and now has an audience of more than 24,000 followers.
She was introduced to the game by her grandson, who was 17 at the time, and says no-one is “ever too old to start gaming”.
Known on Fortnite her username grumpygran1948, Cath features in the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition 2027.
Fortnite is one of the most popular video games in the world, putting up to 100 players against each other in a fight to be the last one standing.
