Reacting to a viral video clip of Bhushan speaking about “regime change” at a press conference, Gupta said they stand “exposed” and alleged that this is the “true face” of the Congress, AAP and CJP.
Bhushan on Thursday called for a “regime change” amid the ongoing protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the ongoing SIR, stressing that it is the democratic right of every citizen.
“Game over, bro. The agenda is exposed. It was never about protest. It was all about ‘regime change’. Their hunger for power is so insatiable that they are ready to stoop to any level, from using the youth and farmers as pawns, to dividing society in the name of caste and language, to attacking the credibility of the country’s constitutional institutions,” Gupta said in a post on X.
This is the true face of the politics of the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), she added.
A day earlier at a press conference with CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and leaders of student organisations and activists, Bhushan also said that spreading “disaffection” against a government is not a crime in a democracy, adding that the struggle is now “really for a regime change”.
Union Minister Rajnath Singh also lashed out at the Congress and its allies over the protests in the national capital, accusing them of seeking a regime change along the lines of Bangladesh and using the energy of the youth to spread “anarchy”.
