Directed by Paul King, the Fred Astaire biopic has officially found its lead in Tom Holland, and now he has brand new cast mates for the movie as well. Variety had earlier reported that Sabrina Carpenter, who is best known for her hit songs ‘Espresso,’ ‘Manchild,’ and ‘House Tour’ is joining the cast, along with star Margaret Qualley who is best known for her work in ‘Maid’ and ‘The Substance’.According to the reports, Carpenter will play Ginger Rogers, his legendary Hollywood collaborator. On the other hand, Qualley will be playing the role of Fred’s older sister and original stage partner, Adele Astaire. While not much is known about the film, it has been shared that the biopic will center on the star’s careers in Broadway, the West End, and the big screen.The script has been based off Kathleen Riley’s biography titled ‘The Astaires: Fred & Adele.’ King and Steven Levenson wrote the screenplay, while Riley joined the project as a consultant for the script to ensure that it remains authentic.

The cinematic challenge of bringing to life these icons of the twentieth century is one that I could not imagine without Tom Holland, Margaret Qualley, and Sabrina Carpenter by my side.”As of right now, there is no official release date announced for the untitled film.
