Kanpur: Nazirababad police arrested share trading fraud Sushil Dhawan from a clinic near JK Mandir Nahariya on Friday morning. He was undergoing treatment for past three days.More than half a dozen cases were registered against Dhawan at Kakadeo and Nazirababad police stations, in which his wife and father were also co-accused. On Monday, victims met DCP Central and filed a complaint against the accused, after which DCP Central handed over the investigation to ADCP Sumit Sudhakar Ramteke.Dhawan, a resident of Moti Vihar Society in Sarvodaya Nagar, had an office in Kaushalpuri, where he carried out share broking work with people’s consent.In 2021, Pradeep Manga , a resident of Pandu Nagar Model Town, filed a case at Nazirababad police station against Dhawan, his wife Anjali, and Rudra Shares and Brokers company for allegedly grabbing shares worth Rs 2 crore through forged documents.In 2024, Kaushalpuri resident Richa Sharma filed a complaint against him for allegedly embezzling Rs 51 lakh and on Jan 1, a report was registered regarding fraud of Rs 60 lakh and one of Rs 7 lakh as filed by a central excise and customs officer. Similar complaints wre filed by a businessman Prateesh Rastogi for grabbing shares worth Rs 1.57 crore.DCP Central handed over the investigation to ADCP Sumit Sudhakar Ramteke. tnn
