Noida: A four-year-old girl died after being struck by a bike in the Greater Noida Jewar area on Tuesday evening. Two others, including the biker, were injured. The girl’s family refused to file a police complaint.According to a senior police officer, the girl was playing in a lane near her house in Khativana village around 5.40pm on Tuesday when two men approached on a bike. CCTV footage shows the girl suddenly moved towards the oncoming bike, leading to the collision. The girl and both men on the bike were injured, and passersby rushed to their aid.Her family and locals called the 112 emergency helpline. Cops reached the spot and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. She likely sustained a severe head wound, police said.The girl’s parents refused to file a police complaint and did not give permission for an autopsy. Her last rites were performed the same evening.Initial investigation and CCTV footage suggest the girl suddenly ran in the direction of the bike after spotting a friend and did not see the oncoming vehicle, police added.
