PUNE: A lawyer lodged a complaint with police on Monday morning saying two men, who were later joined by their two friends, sexually harassed her in a car in Koregaon Park around 11.30pm on Sunday. The woman (30) stays in the Ghorpadi area and the complaint was filed with the Koregaon Park police. She alleged that the incident happened in the moving car that was later halted along Mangaldas Road. The two friends of the duo came to the spot and also molested her, she said in her complaint to the police. On Monday evening, the Koregaon Park police arrested the four men involved in the alleged crime. The police also seized the car in which the incident took place. Police said all the four men belonged to families in the business of automobile showrooms, renting of industrial godowns and warehouses and the like. Pune police commissioner (CP) Amitesh Kumar said, “We registered the lawyer’s complaint promptly. Our teams are investigating the case.” He said, “A few months ago, the woman had lodged a similar complaint against some men in Goa. We are collecting details of that case from the Goa police.” Lawyer, duo were on their way to a pub Police said the lawyer has a profile on a matrimonial website. She had a chat with a man on the site and they decided to meet at a restaurant in a seven-star hotel in Mundhwa on Sunday evening. They sat and spoke for a while, following which the prospective match left the restaurant. There were two men on the adjacent table. They invited the lawyer to join them and she did. Later, the three decided to visit a pub near the Pune railway station and the lawyer sat in their car. On the way to the pub, the two men sexually harassed her. They later called two of their friends and they molested her as well.
