Prayagraj: A joint team of Special Operation Group, Surveillence and Cantt police on Monday arrested four notorious burglars, including Gaurav Kanojia (24) of Attarsuiya, Bakridul Seikh alias Popo (21) of Jharkhand, Sameeul Seikh alias Chotu (20), and Parvez Alam alias Tauseef alias Nepali (21) of Kareli, and seized 450 grams of gold and 1.800 kg of silver from their possession. Cops are also looking for two of their accomplices.Police said that the burglars executed a theft at a jewellery shop located near Ganganagar, under the limits of Cantt police station, on Feb 13. The owner of the shop registered an FIR under Section 331(4), 305(A) and 317(2) of BNS against unknown criminals.The burglars broke the shutter of the jewellery shop and stole gold and silver ornaments worth several lakhs of rupees. Two police teams were formed to crack down on the incident. Cops also managed to seize two bikes and a sharp-edged weapon used in the crime. All arrested burglars had criminal sketch with them.
