Thiruvananthapuram: Kollam vigilance court on Thursday granted bail to former thiruvabharanam commissioner K S Baiju in the Sabarimala gold heist case. The court provided natural bail following a petition filed after a 90-day remand period. Bail was granted partly because the SIT did not submit a chargesheet.However, Baiju will not be released as he remains in remand for the dwarapalaka case. A natural bail petition for the dwarapalaka case will be submitted on Feb 25. So far, five accused in the gold heist case were granted bail and released. Among them, the first accused, Unnikrishnan Potti, and N Vasu, along with two others, received natural bail.Meanwhile, former TDB member K P Shankaradas was remanded for an additional 14 days.
