Anthurium looks like it belongs in a boutique hotel, with shiny, heart-shaped flowers in red, pink or white above dark green leaves. Despite its glamorous look, it is quite happy in bright, indirect light and a little humidity. Use a light, well-draining potting mix and water when the surface feels slightly dry. Keep it out of direct sun, which can scorch the leaves. With a little care, one plant can keep producing flowers for weeks, giving your balcony a long-lasting pop of colour.
