It is suspected that the deer might have come to drink water from a nearby nullah when it got trapped in the wire fencing. Bisoi said around 10 spotted deer often roam in the area and visit nearby water bodies to drink water.Wildlife activists urged the forest department to create facilities for animals within forest areas to drink water during summer. Wild animals, particularly deer, are forced to leave their habitat in search of water, making them vulnerable to attacks from other animals and poachers.
