Surat: A Flybrary, an initiative of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), was launched at Surat International Airport on Thursday to promote reading among air travellers.The free-of-cost initiative, launched by Surat airport director Anand Sharma in the presence of Kumar Abhishek, CISF commandant and chief airport security officer at the airport, carries the catchline, “Read while you fly and drop the book at your next destination airport.”The library has been set up to encourage reading habits among passengers and provide them with an engaging activity during their journey and while waiting at the airport.Under the initiative, passengers can pick up books to read during their travel and leave them at their next destination airport. The programme is aimed at facilitating the circulation and sharing of books among passengers across airports, creating a wider reading community among air travellers.
