Flames and a large plume of black smoke were seen rising near King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday, following reported Houthi strikes, according to an eyewitness.Reuters images showed smoke rising from a fuel storage depot at the airport in the aftermath of the strikes.The cause and extent of the fire near the airport were not immediately clear. Saudi Arabia’s government media office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.The Houthis, who control large parts of northern Yemen, have intensified attacks on Saudi Arabia amid the renewed conflict in Yemen. The UN Security Council on Friday condemned continued Houthi attacks on the kingdom, including strikes affecting civilian and energy infrastructure.This is developing story.
