Handwara, Sep 27: A Selection Grade Fireman of the Jammu and Kashmir Fire & Emergency Services died after sustaining critical injuries in an accidental fall from the third floor of the department’s station building at Sogam, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Amin Khan, SGFM No. 1474, posted at F&ES Station Sogam. Officials said Khan accidentally fell from the third floor and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara for treatment.
However, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Khan was a resident of Bandipora. His death has left colleagues and members of the Fire & Emergency Services fraternity in shock, with condolences being expressed for the deceased and his family.
