Noida: A fire broke out at a cooler pad manufacturing unit near Bisnoli village under the Badalpur police station area on Saturday , causing losses worth several lakh rupees. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. According to fire officials, the blaze erupted around 7am at Shri Shyam Enterprises, located along GT Road. The factory manufactures cardboard cooling pads used in air coolers. Smoke was first noticed emerging from stacks of cardboard inside the unit. Within minutes, the smoke turned into flames and rapidly spread across the premises. Factory employees immediately raised an alarm, triggering panic and a brief stampede-like situation inside the unit. Workers rushed out of the building to save themselves and alerted the police and fire department. By the time fire tenders reached the spot, the blaze had intensified, engulfing large portions of the factory. The tin shed structure and stored materials were seen burning fiercely as firefighters, assisted by residents and police personnel, launched efforts to contain the flames. Around six fire engines were pressed into service. Fire officials ensured that all employees were safely evacuated from the premises.Due to the intense heat, sections of the tin shed melted, leading to significant structural damage. After nearly three hours of continuous firefighting operations, the blaze was finally brought under control. Chief fire officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey confirmed that there were no injuries or loss of life in the incident. However, the factory suffered substantial financial losses, estimated to be in lakhs of rupees.
