Fourteen people were killed in a fire at a pyrotechnics factory in the Yaroslavl region on Monday, state media reported, citing emergency services.
One person was being treated for their injuries at the hospital. TASS reported that the fire had been put out.
Yaroslavl region Governor Mikhail Evrayev confirmed at least 10 deaths in a post on Telegram. He said first responders were still searching for potential other victims.
The blaze engulfed two buildings in the village of Kubrinsk near the town of Pereslavl-Zalessky. Around 200 emergency personnel were deployed to the scene, Evrayev said.
Law enforcement authorities launched a criminal investigation into possible industrial safety violations, TASS reported.
