Bathinda: Davinderpal Singh Natt, 28, son of late Congress functionary Sukhraj Singh Natt, allegedly died by suicide by shooting himself with his licensed weapon at his residence in Bathinda late Sunday night.Davinderpal accused the chairman of a Mohali-based real estate company and his two sons of failing to return a loan of Rs 4 crore, naming them in a video clip and a suicide note. Based on the suicide note and a complaint filed by Davinderpal’s mother, a case under sections 108 (abetment of suicide) and 3(5) (common intention) was registered against Sushma Buildtech chairman Binder Pal Mittal and his sons Bharat Mittal and Prateek Mittal at Bathinda’s Canal Colony police station, Bathinda SP City Narinder Singh told TOI. In the video, Davinderpal also mentioned mounting financial pressure, saying he had taken a loan of Rs 80 lakh from a bank and borrowed funds from some individuals.Sukhraj Singh Natt, who passed away in 2020, was a former chairman of Weavco. He contested three assembly elections — as a Congress nominee in 2002, and as an independent from Joga and Maur in 2007 and 2017. MSID:: 129898308 413 |
