Kanpur: Police in Etawah arrested three relatives of a woman for conspiring to usurping her jewellery and cash and blaming its loss on robbery. The woman’s father, uncle and brother were arrested and jewellery was recovered on Friday.The woman’s brother, Vishal, informed Dial 112 that his sister Dolly was going to Bhind with her husband when bike-borne criminals looted her jewellery near Kedareshwar Temple on Lion Safari Road under Civil Lines police station area. A police team reached the spot and during questioning, found the complaint suspicious. They carried out intensive interrogation through which it came to light that there was no robbery and it was only a plan to usurp the jewellery gifted to the woman by her in-laws.Police said the woman handed over the bag full of jewellery to her father Dilip, brother Vishal and uncle Saurabh, after which they reported robbery.Following directions of SSP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, Civil Lines police arrested Vishal, Dilip Kumar and Saurabh near Kedareshwar Temple. Police recovered bangles, mangalsutra, ring, anklets, waist chain and cash from the possession of the three accused. Besides, acase was registered under various sections and further action was being taken.
