Millions of football fans in India can finally heave a sigh of relief since they have a clear answer on how and where to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 across multiple mediums. The development has put to rest months of uncertainty surrounding around the broadcast of the big-ticket football event.

With 48 teams competing for the ‘World Cup’ title in 104 fixtures, Indian broadcaster ZEE Entertainment Private Limited has signed a deal with FIFA for major events until 2034, including FIFA World Cup 2030, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, scripting a major breakthrough in sports broadcasting arena.

Digital viewers

Viewers with exclusive subscription access to Zee5 can stream FIFA World Cup 2026 through the application in mobile, laptop, tablet, or other devices. The inaugural match is set to be played between Mexico and South Africa on June 11, with the finale scheduled to take place on July 19.

Television audience

It is likely to expect a major chunk of football enthusiasts to watch FIFA World Cup 2026 by Television. For those, the matches will be broadcasted on ZEE’s newly launched Unit8 Sports Network.
