The arrests were made by a team led by Ambala Cantt SHO Lakhbir Singh. All three accused were produced before a court, which granted two days of police remand. During the remand period, police will work to recover the weapon used in the murder and question the accused to identify any other individuals involved in the crime.According to police, the incident occurred at a wedding function held at Siya Vatika Palace, where a dispute escalated into a violent attack. The complaint was lodged by Sukhraj Singh, a resident of Sonda village in Ambala district. He stated that the accused—identified as Sagar, Shivam, and others—got into a fight and attacked Sonu with a knife. Sonu sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.Following the complaint, a case was registered at Ambala Cantt police station, and police teams launched an immediate investigation.Ambala SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat said, “The fight took place outside the reception party of a wedding in Ambala Cantonment area. One person was hurt from a stab wound and died later. Two of his friends who jumped in to save him were also injured, who are undergoing treatment. The district police acted swiftly after identifying three main suspects from the CCTV camera footage. Further investigation is ongoing.”Ends
