Mangaluru: The Mangaluru South police have booked a first division assistant attached to the Mangaluru police commissioner’s office for allegedly submitting duplicate medical bills.According to police, the woman allegedly submitted fraudulent medical reimbursement claims worth Rs 4.8 lakh of her mother’s and husband’s treatment. The account superintendent noticed discrepancies in the bills, signature and brought the matter to the attention of senior officials. Based on a complaint, police registered a case against the official, and further investigation is underway.
